With the release of a deluxe version of his EP, ‘YAZI,’ Superboy Cheque has elevated the emotional tone of his early 2026 project by dropping the deluxe edition. It consists of an additional 4 songs, “THANK YOU”, “KOSOMONA”, “GOODBYE II” and “ZODIAC II”. These tracks further push the narrative that he brought with the earlier release of ‘YAZI’, his path of love, hardships and success through a masterful mix of Hip-Hop, Trap and Afrobeats.

The four tracks start off with “THANK YOU”. The song uses a classic beat and trumpets typically associated with Hip-Hop and Trap music, with confident lyrics to reflect on moving forward rather than staying in the past , and being determined to achieve success despite the negative opinions and criticism that come up on that path. All this is further pushed by gratitude through his repeated use of the words “Thank you”, a nod of appreciation to how those cynical comments push him to success.

“KOSOMONA” carries us along an Afrobeat tune, exploring how Cheque struggled before becoming who he is today. This is evident from the lyrics “I had a life that made me tough” and “Me and my grind going better for worse, All of my guys know say e sure for us”. It perfectly captures the strive one undergoes to come out of a tough period of time, better and stronger than they once were.

“GOODBYE II” does a complete 180 turn from the aforementioned tracks. It switched up from the boldness of the aforementioned songs to a more heartfelt and emotional tone. The song reflects on the aftermath of a breakup, with the artist reflecting on the difficulty in saying goodbye. He even goes as far as to ask what the point is in having all his material possessions if he can’t have his lover by his side. 

Later in the song, Cheque talks about choosing to move on and love himself, despite his former partner not loving him. The Colombian artist, Goyo, is the standout difference in this record and its earlier counterpart, “Goodbye”. Although appearing on the track for less than thirty seconds, her voice and lyrics take the romantic theme, which was already prevalent on the track, to far greater heights.

However, “GOODBYE III” isn’t the only song that Cheque chose to bring a feature for. The artist ends the deluxe EP with “ZODIAC II”, bringing on Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez to sign it off. The track follows a different romantic vibe than we see on “GOODBYE II”, but still moves along a smooth, sultry tune. The track is perfect to finish off the project, talking about his admiration for another whilst still reflecting on a desire for a comfortable life and enjoying the fruits of his labour .

The additional songs on Cheque’s deluxe edition may be smaller in number compared to the artist’s original seven track release at the beginning of the year, but it’s still able to display Cheque’s journey of triumph and heartbreak without sacrificing any of it solely for replay value.
