After a year of emotional excavation and a defining run of live performances, Garvicii is back with his first single of 2026, “Shalewa,” playful, flirtatious record that the Warri-raised singer trading the vulnerability of heartbreak for the reckless confidence of desire. 

Arriving as his first release since his 2025 E.P, ‘Heartless,’ the single marks a new chapter for an artist who has spent the past year expanding the boundaries of his sound and presence. Following the release of the project, Garvicii took his music on the road as part of the Soundcity tour, bringing his growing catalogue to live audiences and sharpening an increasingly important part of his artistry: the ability to turn records into moments

On “Shalewa,” Garvicii is caught in pursuit. The record is driven by an unapologetic attraction to a woman who has completely taken over his attention. From the opening bars, he wastes little time with ceremony. “Sare wa gba gba, Shalewa / Make I clear you the artillery,” he sings, turning the song’s central refrain into both a proposition and a declaration. 

Beneath the cheekiness is a surprisingly earnest pursuit: Garvicii isn’t simply looking for a moment. He wants to take Shalewa home to meet his parents, promising marriage when the opportunity presents itself.
