Imagine the warmth from your blankets and your sheets, with yourself sandwiched between the two. Now imagine the kind of protection you feel, that cosiness, that feeling of warmth. Moelogo’s most recent releases “Shine Your Light” and “Sometimes I Pray” perfectly capture that tiny bubble of comfort with ease.

As he revealed on his Instagram, these songs are personal records describing his emotions and his general attitude towards life. The lilting soul of “Shine Your Light” is all gentle guitar, flutes and finger-snaps, evoking a calm reminiscent of a session spent meditating while “Sometimes I Pray” – featuring South London rapper and singer Tiggs Da Author – balances thoughtful sentiments with an irresistible, dreamy vibe.

The pair of singles trail a forthcoming EP Shine Your Light. It’s the follow-up to last year’s Ìréti EP, which gave us the brilliant bass stabs and bird noises of the huge anthem “Penkélé” (which Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie and Nigerian megastar Davido later remixed).
