Some of the biggest films out of Nollywood in recent years have been facilitated by EbonyLife Films. With blockbusters like “The Wedding Party”, “Fifty” and “Chief Daddy” in tow, the multimedia behemoth has gained a reputation for putting out hugely successful films.

Their upcoming film, “Your Excellency”, looks set to be another huge release, serving as veteran actress and film producer, Funke Akindele-Bello’s directorial debut, featuring the type of jovial plot many Nigerians gravitate towards.

Written by Yinka Ogun, the story follows a billionaire businessman and failed presidential candidate, who then becomes a credible contender through the power of social media.

Akin Lewis plays the lead role of Chief Olalekan Ajadi, while Funke plays the co-lead role of Kemi Ajadi. Also starring in the film are popular Nollywood actors like Kunle Coker, Shaffy Bello, Emmanuel Edunjobi, Alexx Ekubo, Toni Tones, Bimbo Manuel and more.

“Your Excellency” is scheduled to make its national cinema debut this December 13.
