“Boogie” stood out in Falz’s recently released album, ‘27‘ album for showing the less advertised side of Folarin, the boujee IJGB. A lot of the music we’ve been getting from Falz lately has appealed to the Nigerian masses even before his commercially successful campaign propaganda of a song, “This Is Nigeria”.
“Boogie”, directed by Visionaire Pictures highlights the classy lifestyle of the wealthy by casting Falz, models and featured artist, Sir Dauda in an arcade where they are bathed in neon lights and having a good time dancing to the Afropop groove. His video for “Next”, released earlier this month, is probably the only other time Falz has embraced his foreign accent so wholeheartedly singing, “I Just Made A Killing, Can You Please Call The Popo/Gyrate Like Man Just Won The Lotto”.
