Astro RB explains why he isn’t on your top 5 rappers list on new single, “Let Me In”

Hint, it's not his fault

Though there always seems to be new pop artists making the jump to mainstream acclaim every year, the same can’t be said about hip-hop in Nigeria. With the same set of artists getting airplay rotation, the gatekeepers will have you wonder if it takes forever to go from blog obscurity to critically-acclaimed and commercial success. Astro RB’s new single, “Let Me In”, however seems to find the rapper at a time when he senses he’s on the cusp of making the cross to the big leagues as he takes listeners through his tough beginnings, while giving some insight to why it has taken so long to get his deserved time in the limelight.

His lyricism and storytelling show off his deft rap game, but the dexterity he displays singing the catchy hook is what makes his cocksure single convincing.
