Wizkid announces new collaboration with Skepta coming soon

He also revealed that he's working on a music streaming platform, in a new interview with Capital XTRA

Last month, Wizkid released his debut single of 2019, “Ghetto Love”, quickly following it up with NATIVE Best New Music entry, “Joro”. In between both songs, he shared details for Starboy Fest, a 3-part concert series for later this month, with stops in Manchester, London and Paris.

To promote his new singles and Starboy Fest, the singer recently stopped by UK radio station Capital XTRA, recapping his career so far and discussing next steps. In the interview, he revealed that he knew “Ojuelegba” was special even before its release, and also announced that he’s working on a music streaming platform in collaboration with UBA.

However, one of the most exciting parts of the interview, was Wizkid divulging near-future plans to release a new collaboration with British-Nigerian rapper Skepta. “Me and Skepta got another one coming, and it’s serious—me and him only make serious music”, he said. With three collaborative songs already—“Ojuelegba (Remix)”, “Bad Energy” and “Glow in the Dark”—Wizkid and Skepta have proven to be a reliable pair, and their upcoming song should prove no different.
