Homecoming Returns To Lagos This Easter For Its Fourth Edition

Mark your calendars, April 15th-18th

This Easter weekend, Homecoming, the music and cultural imprint founded by Grace Ladoja, Skepta, and Alex Ossah is returning for its fourth iteration. For the past few years, Homecoming’s annual festival has become a staple for the Easter holidays in Lagos. After a brief break the last two years, which found Homecoming moving over to Manchester, UK, and digitally streaming live performances, the festival and showcase returns to its Lagos base this weekend.

As is tradition, the 4th edition returns this Easter weekend from April 15 to April 18. This year’s show is sponsored by prestigious brands such as Kuda Bank, TikTok, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Power Horse and MTV Base. The live concert, scheduled for the evening of April 17, will host performances from some of the hottest African stars including Black Sherif, Asake, Boj, BNXN Fka Buju, Deto Black, Fireboy DML, Lancey Foux, Lojay, Midas the Jagaban, Zinoleesky, Teezee and more, as well as a special debut performance from UK drill’s breakout act Central Cee.

Last year, the concert was held virtually due to COVID-19 restrictions but the 4-day event has promised to be bigger and better this year. This year, the 4-day event will be taking over luxury concept store, Alara, for a pop-up showcasing emerging brands on the continent such as Denim Tears, Off-White, Stussy, Patta, Cactus Flea Market, Motherlan and Ambush. The pop-up will also showcase Drake’s NOCTA collection for the first-time ever in its physical form.

This year, Homecoming and its founder, Grace Ladoja, has also partnered with Spotify to takeover their Alté Cruise playlist for the weekend of the festival.
