There’s something almost otherworldly about the combination of DJ Yin’s soft echoing vocals and Bankyondbeatz’s EDM inspired instrumentals. After collaborating on “Good Loving” that earned a spot on NATIVE’s best Best New Music last year, the two have teamed up for a new single, “Rewind”, featuring Ghost and King Davies of the ShowDemCamp. Bankyondbeatz produces the atmospheric beat layered with ambient synths and a distinct talking drum sample that keeps pace with DJ Yin’s laid back hook, celebrating the party life; “I’ll Be Sipping on My Bottle, Alright/ Mr DJ Put It on Rewind”. King Davies and Ghost contribute one rap verse each, adding to the urban aesthetic of the Afropop number.
